SEND Report - An Introduction

Here at St John's we are committed to ensuring that all children achieve their potential. We aim to meet the needs of all learners and strive to ensure that we do all we can to support this. In the first instance this means we have a few basic things in place that ensure we are a "good" school;

  • We strive to make sure that the day to day teaching across the school is at least good
  • Our staff make sure that the curriculum is inclusive and exciting
  • We recognise that children have differing ways of learning and that not all children in each class will be at the same stage of learning. To help meet this our teachers plan teaching with a range of differentiated tasks and ensure that learning takes place in a variety of ways.
  • The school is committed to having the best provision possible as we recognise that a supportive environment and good quality resources help children to reach their potential.

Parents are an essential partner in the journey that your child makes as they progress through school. This SEND Local Offer is the means by which you will be given the information to help you understand your part in that journey
