Look at all the amazing work Year 6 have done this year!

Summer Term 2015-16

Year 6 visited Lincoln Cathedral on the 18th of May for the Church Schools Festival.

We participated in a choral workshop, dramatic godly play tasks and an information tour around the cathedral. The children represented our school fantastically!

Spring Term 2015-16

The Allotment Diary

Year 6 have been the first year group to plant and tend to the allotment. They have successfully planted our potato crop and have sown a variety of carrots. You all certainly have some green fingers! Well done!

Uh Oh! Aliens have crash landed in the nature area!

Year 6 have created news broadcasts to alert the local residents as to their findings. Well done!

Autumn Term 2015-16

Art - Pop Art

We have been inspired by the work on Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein and are using their influences within our own work.

Look out for contrasting colours, bold block colours and the use of stippling!

History - World War Two

We are beginning to get and understanding of the chronology of WW2 and the events surrounding it through our timeline work.

We have also begun to recognise allied, axis and neutral nations during this time period by using our map work skills to find the extent to which this was a WORLD war.

Our Marching Chants

We wrote lyrics, composed and performed marching chants based on our study of WW2 music and focused on boosting morale in our chants.

Enjoy listening and watching!

We've studied the HAKA - watch our whole class version!

We've learnt how to play volleyball!

And we're currently exploring counter-balance and counter-tension in our gymnastic work.
